Exmoor Lockdown Diary 65 - Wind in the Trees

Went for a walk up the valley on this very breezy day and shot some video on my little camera.

Have just thrown it together to make a little video using a piano track from one of my favourite musicians, Nils Frahm. Partly because I like it and it feels suitably busy - and partly because the tiny microphone on my camera just picks up a horrible noise instead of the lovely wind sounds. Otherwise I’d have just used the real soundtrack - must take my digital recorder with a wind sock next time.

Anyway, I hope Nils won’t mind - it’s not as if this is a commercial website.

There is something wonderful about a stiff breeze on a warm day. Especially in Spring when all the leaves weave and dance and make a great soughing noise. You get that chiaroscuro of light at play all around you. Which is magical and somehow up-lifting.

Please have a quick watch of the video - preferably on a larger screen. I haven’t uploaded it the high definition I’d like to because it would take an age on my ridiculously slow broadband - but I do hope this will provide some fresh air if you happen to be stuck indoors somewhere stuffy.
